Later this morning I needed a haircut so I gave myself a Mohawk. The kids thought it was hilarious. Sorry to say, after the picture I finished the haircut.

Chips and Mohawks
This morning Becca and Sam asked for a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast and then I asked Dan what he wanted for breakfast. His answer was, "Chips". It was a very honest answer.

Wahs, Hummus and Missing Teeth
This past week I have been pretty dry with blog material and then yesterday happened, lots of blogging stuff! Sam's front tooth (the first one he lost 3 years ago from an incident with Michael and the hardwood floor) finally was loose enough that Jen grabbed it and yanked it out. It was right before we had lunch and he said prayer over the lunch food and I about lost it hearing him whistle between his teeth.

Dan really cracked me up yesterday as well. He was drinking hot cocoa and he had to have a straw or as he pronounces it, "a wah".
(See the UPS truck in the background, it was delivering my new tires for the Envoy. Very Exciting!!!)

Dan also loves hummus.

We finally had enough snow to go sledding so we headed next door to go sledding on the best sledding hill in the neighborhood. Here is a picture of the gang. Dan still needs more practice with the skis. We all had a blast, it was a beautiful day. We need more Monday holidays with snow!

Frozen Zombies and Breakfast
The past two days have brought us extremely cold weather, at least for our region of the country. We had a high of 10 degrees on Friday and reached -0 degrees (Fahrenheit) Thursday night with wind chills. This is way too cold for us in the Mid-Atlantic region. Last night we were in the car and the thermometer was reading an outside temp of 0 degrees (Fahrenheit). We have been stuck inside of the time with the cold. School has been canceled the past two days partly because of the cold. Crazy. We have been trying to stay active and the Wii helps. These are my zombie children playing Mario Cart.

Most mornings I am up around 6:30 often with Becca. The other morning she really wanted to make breakfast for mommy. I assisted her and we took breakfast to mommy (yes, that is Dan still sleeping in the bed).

Dan has also been practicing to be a missionary.

Freestylin' Memories
Jen and I were cleaning out some files and found these pictures. Both are of me when I was in High School in Madison, WI and spending all of my time riding my freestyle bike (87 Haro Master covered in Club Home Boy Stickers). I received these pictures in the mail via my parents from a friend that took these many years ago. It was pretty cool receiving these since I had no idea they existed and I spent a lot of time on this bike.

Thinking of the New Year
We were sitting around the table at lunch yesterday discussing the new year as a family. Michael told everyone that you have to make a face when you are seriously thinking and he wanted to teach everyone how to do it. Here is the face he told us that we had to make while we think.

Here are the pictures of everyone practicing their 'serious thinking' face.

Happy New Year!
